Modern Learning Pedagogy (MLP) and Modern Learning Environments (MLE)
… what do they mean?

Let’s start with MLP Modern Learning Practice/Pedagogy, this is the one we mostly talk about at Ashgrove. Teaching practices are changing to better meet the needs of modern learners. The focus is how students learn best, the benefits of teacher collaboration and things we can do to support engaging and effective teaching and learning.

Modern Learning Environment (MLE) this is more about the environment and is used more often by new schools or schools with new buildings. There is more of a focus on designing specific spaces and includes aspects such as lighting, furniture.
